Counselling Services in Kildare

My name is Betty Keegan, I’m a qualified Professional counsellor & psychotherapist, a graduate of PCI College and Middlesex University. I am also an accredited member of IACP. I work on a one to one basis with clients, my aim is to create an environment of trust and confidentiality; where clients can discuss anything that is causing upset in their lives, secure in the knowledge that they will not be judged.

Services Offered

Individual counselling
Individual counselling takes place in a private setting, in a one to one professional relationship between the client and counsellor. This relationship is built on empathy, trust and confidentiality and encourages the client to safely explore any issues that are causing concern in their lives.

Couples Counselling
Couples counselling helps clients identify issues that are causing difficulties in their relationships. Through examining family dynamics and generational perspectives, better communication skills and personal growth is achieved.

Mindfulness
Mindfulness is based on eastern traditions and has been practiced for thousands of years, more recently it has gained considerable attention from western helping professions. Research shows how mindfulness techniques and interventions are effective when working with stress, emotional distress, some physical symptoms, anxiety, and in the prevention of depression relapse.

Dream Analysis
Integrating dream interpretation into therapy can provide an invaluable source of insight and inspiration. Dreams reveal information that is not readily available at a conscious level which can enhance the therapeutic process. Each dream is unique to the dreamer and with the help of specialised skills and techniques awareness of personal associations and responses to the dream will be developed, so that its meaning can be understood.
